Background
As a member of 'all Threaded Together' I will be exhibiting in the Northampton Rennie Macintosh house , no 78 Derngate gallery in the summer 2020. The house has been returned to its Macintosh glory and provides a fabulous close encounter with Mackintosh geometrics.
The group's exhibition title is 'Changes', and in addition to Changes themed work we are each working a piece inspired by the house.
We are now all working hard to design , stitch and finish our work.

My take on changes:
I am fascinated by changes over time. My own aging, the plants around us with their spring and auyumnal transformations. It is also amazing to see what time does to the man made world on a large and small scale. I will be using these images to form an abstraction of changes.
Day to day progress and ideas will be written up on the blog.
My take on the house based work
The decor of the house has been reinstated to its initially designed Macintosh interior. It's largely a geometric scheme which dominated the house, the exception to this is the newel post in the entrance hall. Here flowing linea design stands out.
